Since Natch is obviously busy and I can't get in touch with him I am going to start stripping the code for the Lite version so everyone can at least start using vBWar. I will post my progress...

It's in testing right now but there was a problem on one site using PHP 5.0...should be ready in 1 week.

well i went ahead and installed regular old vwar 1.50 R8 to keep track of stats cause matches started this week for us. i'd rather be using vbwar and waited as long as i could, but you think it would be possible to import stats when you do release it?

That one week deal was almost a month ago.. So not sure on how long until something is released..

I find myself in the same boat. I very much want to upgrade to vB 3 but have been putting it off waiting for vBwar to get done. We are using vBwar 2.x now and we like the concept enough that we wish to continue using some form of software like this. There are quite a few bugs in our version, some of which I have been able to fix myself, others I am not enough of a coder to fix on my own.

I am going to give it one more month, and if there is not some serious movement I will most likely go to vwar myself.

Furtunately we have time in our clan, untill Ghost Recon 2 hits, then we need to have a solution or we have to look elsewhere, which is not cool but necesarry.

Problem with vwar is that the developers have stopped work on it, plus I want something integrated with vbulletin 3. It is getting to the stage where I really need to make that decision, bite the bullet and select a package that does the job now or write my own code to fill in the basic features I need.

Really want the the "pro" version of vbwar but waiting on a lite release to hold me until the other versions are developed. Just so painfully slow and no regular updates.

today ... 08-24-2004 ...

I get the sneeky feeling that DW is looking for a job at the local bureaucracy ... this is some daim long week, to fix a php 5 bug, while most people still run php 4.x ...
