Hi beta testers,
has someone of you already tried the uninstall function?
I gave it a chance in beta4 and afterwards my admincp did not work
anymore.
It would be nice to talk here about the experience you maybe made with this.
I will try this later on again with beta6 patched when beta7 or RC1 is out.
@developers: pls. include detailed info in the uninstaller what will be changes (tablefields, tables) and what has still to be done manually (template edits, file edits) etc.

Are you serious? Just follow the install script and reverse the changes.

Sure but this is not what I mean.
Remember the first point of the installation where the word is of table changes.
I talked already to you and you said that the final version will have a notice WHICH tables were changed.
The only thing I want to point out is that it would be nice to have this also in the uninstall routine :D

After running the uninstall routine, you will need to make sure you reverse the file edits that you have had to make - either by restoring your backups, or by doing the alterations in reverse as listed in the documentation.
NOTE: please ensure you use the uninstall file which matches your current install: eg. the uninstaller for Beta 4 will only work properly on Beta 4 installs.
we had same problem the whole admincp was messed up on our testforum.. i didnt install it personally so not sure exactly what happened

There is a file-edit that modify's your AdminCP/index.php: this refers to phrasegropups that will not exist after the uninstall process.
Install Process: install with installer, then make file edits...
Uninstall Process: undo file edits, run uninstaller.
If you follow this process (common sense really - it's the reverse process of installation) then you will have no problems.
